I am proposing that starting with the 2017 NFL postseason contract drop period that we limit the free drops to 1 per sport each season. The idea of a salary league is to live and die with contracts that you sign, but being able to drop multiple players on bad contracts in the same sport does not give teams that sign bad contracts a competitive disadvantage as it should in a salary league.
The drops would still exist, but it would be changed to one per sport, per year

I don't think you should be allowed any . It means you can just throw money willy-nilly at people in free agency. Knowing you're just going to drop them the next year. If you're willing to give someone that big contract you should be stuck with it. But I'll take that free drop of your giving it
