Hey all, just a few quick notes regarding the upcoming NFL season and the lingering COVID pandemic that could end up having an effect on the season in some way. As in MLB, I have increased the number of IR slots from 2 to 6 to account for the higher probability of players being unavailable due to positive COVID results. I also altered the settings to allow players who have opted out of the season to be placed on the IR (though those players can be dropped and re-added at the end of the season with no salary penalties).
Speaking of players who have opted out, I want to clarify something that was brought up in the MLB season. Only players who have officially opted out of the season in their respective league are eligible for our opt out rules here. Players who test positive or have any lingering health effects from a positive test that prohibit them from playing do NOT qualify for our opt out. This will apply to all sports for as long as this remains a concern.
